March 6, 2009 Lady Venus Does an About Face

Venus goes retrograde in Aries! Your plans for relationship commitments veer in a new direction in a moment of truth for fire and air signs. Take care to avoid exaggerations. Blown-out-of-proportion story-telling gets in the way of understanding what may actually be going on. Take care to allow spontaneous moments for being alone to work out your feelings about your plans: You might change your mind, only to find, 40 days (and the biblical 40 nights–yes, it’s the retrograde of Venus story) later, you recover your previous position in the matter–only more intensely in love. Will it be with the same person?

During this transit, Venus squares Pluto on the weekend of April 4, and is perhaps confronted by secrets or information which may change the way she views her sense of connection during this weekend. Rise above it if you can: Feelings run high, and possibilities for changing one’s mind are floating around.Venus will be in Mars’ sign of efficiency, strutting, a little heat and just a need to blow the top off a little. Does this mean, “Shop?” or “Hook up?” The astrologer must work with your personal chart to determine what it means for you.

February 4, 2009: Venus enters the Sign of the Ram

Venus and Mars are again in a sextile for February 7 and 8, and Jupiter is hovering in their midst to promise a costly but incredibly fun wedding moment. The mood is enterprising, where your guests may encounter dynamic interactions, creating an atmosphere of possibility, positive vibration and warmth. Lots of connections are made at this event. A religious ceremony has moments of humor, and a non-religious ceremony has moments of spirituality.

January 4, 2009: Venus enters Pisces

An excellent time for a celebration, as Mars enters his most exalted sign, Capricorn, and together they cooperate to make a memorable time for all. A possibly great weekend for the bride: 24 and 25 of January 2009. The transit of Venus in Pisces will conjoin Anything Goes Uranus, giving over to glee and hilarity in surprising, perhaps revolutionary ways. However, mighty Saturn fits into this picture to demand a more disciplined view of costs, arrangements and perhaps take things down a notch. Watch your expenses.

December 8: Venus Enters Capricorn

Mars will square Saturn during the weekend of 13 and 14 December, 2008, providing a need for high organization, a degree of super-planning, scripts written to detail in order to rest your mind completely. On those dates, Venus conjoins Neptune, which is a lofty place that can be an unachievable perfection, unless you trust your coordinator and your close, reliable family members. Trust in the feelings within and glow from there, ignoring any slight imperfections, should they ever show up.

Venus enters Capricorn, November 13

Venus will conjoin Jupiter on the 29th of November 2008, promising the most any Capricorn, Virgo or Taurus bride could ever expect from the stars for her special day. While this pair are cavorting in randy Capricorn, the champagne flows, the bride gown swooshes, seducing everyone at her first dance. Generous guests arrive from afar, and the glamour is at the height. The florist gives it his all and boy! That could mean a too-muchness of his florid touch, but who cares! None can complain of such loveliness. This will be an event to remember and the photography will prove it.

October 19: Time for Sagittarian-Style Pleasures

Just as it happened in May, Venus in Sagittarius is again squared by Saturn and must pass muster with anscestors, grandparents, the memory of those who have gone before, and tokens of their importance before getting on with the business of matrimony. Is it your grandmother’s dress or one that looks like hers? Adherence to history and precedence is lucky. Holloween weeked, on the 31 and November 1 it is especially important to include someone from the oldest generation in the ceremony. Later, in November, when Venus is trined by Mars the event takes on a polished, and perfected appearance in all the photos.

Could be some misbehavin’ goin’ on too!

When Venus enters Scorpio, September 25

Venus in watery Scorpio has a beautiful weekend for celebrations on October 4-5, when she is in aspect to Jupiter, here providing loving and discreet generosity that elevates her appeal. Expect the unexpected good fortune with a Uranus sextile which promises a showing by eccentric guests to be the highlight of the dance, with the “getaway” after the wedding the most fun of all. So laugh it up, expect everyone will attend, get some good pictures and then get on a crazy conveyance to swoosh out of town.

August 31, Venus enters Libra

The airy position of Libra is Venus’ own home, where her style of decor and taste for pastel and soft colorations abound. In 2008’s transit of Venus through Libra, as it goes with the planetary versus human sphere of things, you must team up either by planet: with the fire sign positions of Venus, or replace them (when they are out of commision) by your team of coordinators and truly effective assistance from family members. Rely on those on whom you can count for help to present a calm and collected picture of Venus. The 20th of September, provides a trine from Moon in Gemini which performs even better on Sunday 21st. Such aspects provide a smooth path, great affection and approval for your nuptials.

August 7: Venus enters Virgo

Mars trines Jupiter to kick off hilarity and grand generosity, lending a care-free nonchalance for celebrating. Mid-month is Venus’ best weekend, reserved for a Jupiter trine which is a promise of grandly portrayed affection. Expect a vital warmth of friends and family and an opulent feeling for the event. August 15 and 16 are excellent dates for a Venus in Virgo wedding.

Shafts of wheat are Virgo’s motif, suggesting a granular sort of consciousness, a focus on the grain-sized stuff. Therefore, while Venus is in Virgo, it is the grains, or the details that count. Select the proper solar angle of the day (early morning or late afternoon) to provide close-ups in photography as souvenirs.

The small, the detailed and the “granular” are the traditional motifs of joy at this time. Rice- throwing, small candies, all spell a motif of preparation for a cozy winter ahead. All Good Wishes follow.

Venus has brilliance in Leo

When Venus enters Leo she is usually the center of admiration; she is Love’s visible envoy on Earth, attracting all affection and warmth. By standing alone in a fire sign Venus cuts a contrast with her brilliance. Find a way to make a dramatic entrance. Glamorous Venus has but one “iffy” aspect in the month of July during the weekend of th 24-25th, when she is opposed by Neptune. She may be viewed either as a goddess, or as rising out of a cloud, like a picture from the Renaissance period, a vapor of loveliness. The photographer may come up with special effects. Take care with guests who love to exaggerate any behaviors.
